Huron Webinar helps businesses hire overseas

Huron County's Immigration Partnership is launching a new series of webinars on Thursday.

Immigration Partnership Coordinator, Kristin Crane, says the first one, called Pathways to Hiring Immigrants, is being presented in two parts. Crane says, as part of a group of Immigration Partnerships in Southwestern Ontario, they recognize there's a huge labour shortage in Ontario and employers are inquiring more and more about how to recruit people from overseas. So this is means to give an overview of some of the different programs that an employer could use.

So, Crane says, the webinar is meant to to give an overview of some of the different programs that an employer could use to hire from overseas, whether it's a Provincial program or a Federal program And they've got a great panel of different experts to go over the programs and answer any questions.

Crane says hiring from overseas can be very complicated, but their panel includes immigration consultants and lawyers as well as various senior level administrators from to talk about the process. The first webinar starts at 8:30 in the morning on this Thursday, February 17th and the second one runs on March 3rd.

Crane says the link to register for the webinar can be found at immploy.ca
