OPP investigating B&E's targeting off-road vehicles

Perth County OPP are investigating off road vehicles targeted during recent break ins.

On January 13, 2022, police were told of a break and enter that had occurred at a farm property on Perth Line 86, just east of Listowel. The suspect had broken into the farm buildings and sheds, and stole a black 2001 Ski-Doo MXZ, valued at approximately $3,500.

On January 17, 2022, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break and enter that had occurred at a property on Line 34, in the Township of Perth East. The suspect(s) had broken into a shed on the property, causing damage to a door, and stole a yellow, silver and black 2016 Ski-Doo XRS 800, valued at approximately $9,500.

Also on January 17th, Police were called to a theft at a residence on Line 40, in the Township of Perth East, that happened sometime during the previous night. The suspect(s) had taken a 2015 John Deere Side-by-Side off-road vehicle and a yellow 1998 RM125 Suzuki dirt bike.

The side-by-side was later recovered, damaged, near the residence, but the dirt bike is still outstanding.

The Perth County OPP would like to remind citizens to keep all vehicles and buildings locked, and report any suspicious activity immediately. Consider installing security features, such as increased lighting, cameras, or alarms.
