Tesla destroyed in fire, South Bruce OPP investigate

Police continue to investigate after a vehicle was found fully engulfed in flames by emergency crews in Tiverton last Friday.

At around 7:15 a.m. on January 14, South Bruce County OPP, along with members of the Kincardine Fire Department, responded to a report of a fire on King Street. When crews arrived, a black Tesla sedan was located on fire.

Firefighters put the fire out and no one was injured during the incident. The vehicle is estimated to be worth $70,000 police say.

The South Bruce OPP Major Crime Unit and the office of the Ontario Fire Marshall are continuing to investigate the cause of the blaze. Investigators previously announced the cause of the fire appears to be suspicious.
