Minto to re-open recreational facilities

The Town of Minto announced the reopening of all Town operated recreational facilities to the public in the new year.

In a statement, it said programs such as public skating, shinny, walking groups, and pickleball will resume on Monday, January 10.

The Norgan Theatre will reopen on Friday, January 7.

There will be some changes made as facilities re-open:

• Monday, December 20 - proof of vaccination is required for youth aged 12-17 participating in organized sport • Tuesday, January 4 - anyone aged 12 and older will be required to present a vaccine certificate with a QR code (on a device or printed) so it can be checked using the Verify Ontario app • Monday, January 10 - anyone with a medical exemption will be required to present a QR code to enter settings where proof is required (physician notes will no longer be accepted)

More information about valid exemptions and Ontario vaccine mandates can be found here.
