We can expect an update from the province today about COVID-19 booster doses.
Premier Doug Ford is expected to make an announcement.
On Thursday, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore, made a statement about boosters.
"Ensuring that all eligible Ontarians are able to receive their vaccinations as quickly as possible is of the utmost importance to reduce the risk of morbidity and mortality of COVID-19," said Moore.
Moore also stated that the new variant, Omicron, is expected to make up 100 percent of the province's case count by the end of the month.
Thursday, Moore also outlined new regulations coming into effect on Friday for long-term care homes.
And there could be further province-wide measures and more announcements by the end of the week.
However, at this time he is not telling people to cancel their holiday plans.
