Grey Bruce OPP have identified the victim of a fatal house fire in Georgian Bluffs.
OPP, Grey County Emergency Medical Services and the Inter Township fire Department responded to the blaze on Girl Guide Road at approximately 5 a.m. on November 27, 2021.
One individual was removed from the residence and pronounced deceased on scene. They have been identified as Patricia Waters, 74 years-of-age, from Georgian Bluffs.
The scene has since been released and the investigation remains ongoing.
Story from Nov. 27, 2021: Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police have responded to a reported house fire on Girl Guide Road in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. They, alongside Grey County Emergency Medical Services and the Inter Township Fire Department, got the call at approximately 5 a.m. on Saturday, November 27.
One person has been pronounced dead at the scene, OPP said in a release.
Their identity is being withheld until next of kin are notified.
Another resident, along with two police officers were treated at a local area hospital for smoke inhalation.
Emergency crews are continuing to investigate.
