Perth County OPP officers laid 57 speeding charges during Operation Impact from October 8, 2021 to October 11, 2021.
All available Perth County officers participated in the annual traffic safety campaign that targets aggressive, distracted and alcohol/drug-impaired driving as well as seat belt non-compliance.
In all, Perth County OPP members laid 62 charges, including one Stunt Driving Charge, three Moving Violations and one Impaired Driving Charge.
A medial release added that although the traffic safety campaign has ended, members of the Perth County OPP continue patrolling area roadways to deter risky driving choices that put the safety of all road users at risk.
