West Grey to host free drive-thru Halloween parade

West Grey will treat local kids and families to a free Halloween parade this year.

It's the second annual drive-thru Halloween party for the municipality, with the first year being last fall due to COVID-19.

This year's event will be held Saturday, October 30th from 2-4 p.m. at the Durham Arena.

Local businesses and community groups are putting together the parade event, which is free. Parents are encouraged to bring eager trick-or-treaters dressed up in costumes to drive through the parade, or stop and collect candy from the parade participants.

West Grey would like interested parents to pre-register for the event at http://www.westgrey.com/halloween.

A list of all participating local businesses are available on the registry page as well as information on how to win one of three Halloween surprise bags. Businesses and groups that would like a booth free of charge, should contact khewlett@westgrey.com or call 519-369-2200 ext. 240.
