Saugeen Shores Police highlight busy September

The Saugeen Shores Police Service is summarizing a busy September.

In total, officers responded to 996 calls for service with one day being highlighted.

On September 7th, the area was hit with a violent storm that produced an EF-2 tornado. Saugeen Shores Police received 72 calls for service that day, 28 of those calls dealt with dangerous conditions related to storm damage and outages.

Most of the calls overall through the month dealt with foot patrol incidents and traffic enforcement. There were also 45 calls related to a suspicious person.
