South Bruce Grey Health Centre seeks community advisors

South Bruce Grey Health Centre is looking for community advisors to join the Patient and Family Advisory Council. The council is partnership of community members and hospital staff committed to ensuring excellent patient care experiences.

The council has been in place since 2017, focusing on advocacy for patient-centered care, which focuses on the central role of the patient and family in the health care journey

“Listening to the voice of patients and families is key to SBGHC’s commitment to providing high quality care to our communities. Our patient and family advisors has been a valuable resource for the hospital over the last number of years,” says Michael Barrett, SBGHC President & CEO.

“The personal experience and perspective that our advisors bring to the table ensures that the patient and family voice is reflected in our planning and decision making.”

SBGHC is seeking community advisors who have had a recent experience as a patient or family member (within three years) at one of the organizations four hospital sites (Chesley, Durham, Kincardine, Walkerton).
