Huron Residential Hospice bringing back There's No Place Like Home telethon fundraiser

The Huron Residential Hospice is bringing back the There's No Place Like Home telethon fundraiser for a second year.

First introduced in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, the telethon fundraising event returns on Thursday, September 16th at 7 p.m.

The live entertainment lineup will feature local rock, pop, jazz and folk artists as well as several well known live performance artists.

Last year, the first ever telethon hosted by the hospice raised a record $109,000. Huron Residential Hospice supports many local families throughout the region at no cost to the families. Half of the hospice's funding comes from local donations allowing them to provide crucial palliative care services.

Gil Garratt from the Blyth Festival and Member of Parliament, Ben Lobb, are returning as emcees.

The telethon this year can be seen for free on the Huron Hospice Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/HuronResidentialHospice/) and on HuronTel and TCC cable networks.
