Clinton Raceway wraps up 2021 season

The Clinton Raceway has wrapped another season.

Manager Ian Fleming says they hadn't really anticipated dealing with COVID-19 for a second year, but they adjusted to doing a lot of things virtually and it turned out to be a pretty good year.

"Half way through the season we were allowed to have some customers come on the property. Because we have such a large area we were allowed to have customers on site and it was great to have customers back. And we've done a lot of work on our signal for people to watch and wager on the races from home on their i-pads and their computers." He says it was still really nice to see fans in the stands.

"We had a great final day and both our leading driver and leading trainer were both females this year. Nat Day was our leading driver and Lacey McCabe was our leading trainer. We've never had that happen before, so that was a neat thing too. They were leaders throughout the season so that's good for both of them."

Fleming says they hope things will be back to normal for next season and he thanks the fans that were able to come out this season.
