The Grey Bruce Health Unit's Hockey Hub operation vaccine method is gaining worldwide attention, as New Zealand health officials duplicated the model.
More than 16,000 people took part in a mass vaccination event in New Zealand, based on the Hockey Hub model. The three-day clinic, running July 30 to August 1, averaged just over 5,000 clients per day. A dozen vaccinators - averaging an injection every 90 seconds - worked across 240 booths set up in Auckland.
Coordinators had extensive contact with Grey Bruce Public health officials to create what they called the largest vaccination clinic in New Zealand.
