Walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics fill the calendar

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is closing in on the target set for those with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The target for the 12-and-over age group is 75%. The number right now is 71.9% with an update expected Tuesday morning after 10 o'clock.

There are a number of walk-in vaccine clinics planned in Wellington County through the coming weeks including:

Tuesday, August 3 @ Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Monday, August 9 @ Drayton Arena 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Thursday, August 12 @ Palmerston and District Community Centre 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Thursday, August 26 @ Arthur Arena 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

In Huron and Perth clinics are being held between 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Stratford at the Rotary Complex for 18-plus.

There will be clinics for 12-plus in St. Marys Wednesday at the Pyramid Rec Centre and on Thursday in Stratford and in Wingham at the North Huron Wescast Community Complex.

The two dose vaccination rate is sitting at 66.7%.

In Grey and Bruce there are three drop-in clinics Tuesday; in Owen Sound at OSDSS between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., at the Allenford ball park between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Shallow Lake arena between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

As of Monday evening, the Grey Bruce Health Unit was report just two new cases with the active case count at 65.

There are more drop-in and pop-in clinics scheduled this week.

Those include clinics on Wednesday in Hanover at the P and Centre between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., at Kaufman's Valu-Mart in Walkerton between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and Thornbury Foodland between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
