Hundreds use vaccine walk-in clinic in Wingham, more clinics in area

The Reeve of North Huron is urging people to get out to their local vaccine clinic and get the COVID vaccine while the clinics are available.

Bernie Bailey says the clinic in North Huron, located at the Westcast Centre in Wingham, were full the times they were open.

He says the saw about 115 walk-ins as well as about 600 appointments.

“We're so appreciative of the volunteers that have come out to help us and we're glad they can be here. They may have to move on to different locations if we don't continue to use the locations here to full capacity, do please come out and get your COVID-19 shots while we're in the area,” said Bailey.

But he says they have to make sure that everyone is coming out to get the vaccine because the clinics won't be there for a long time.
