A full week of vaccination clinics and drop-in times in the local region

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported another 13 cases of COVID-19 yesterday.

There are now 111 active cases in the two counties and six of those cases are in hospital. One person is being treated in hospital outside the area.

Five of the new cases are in Owen Sound; three in Grey Highlands; three in Brockton; one each in Georgian Bluffs and Southgate.

There are a number of drop-in clinics scheduled for this week in Grey and Bruce including three on Monday.

Those are at the P & H Centre in Hanover from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Owen Sound District Secondary School from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and at the Dundalk Community Centre from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In Huron and Perth, health officials were tracking 14 active cases into the weekend. The statistics are expected to be updated at 10:30 a.m. Monday.

Vaccination rates continue to climb. As of Friday, 76.8% of those 12 years of age and over have received one dose of the vaccine. The two dose number is 59.6%.

There are a number of walk-in clinics available this week and run 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.:

In Wellington County, there were seven active cases with an updated expected at 10:30 a.m. Monday as well.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public health also reports on its website that single-dose vaccinations have reached 80.6% of the population, which surpasses the 75% targe. And for two doses it is 65.5%, which is just under 10% away from the target. Those percentages are in the eligible population for those aged 12 and up.

There is a drop-in clinic at the Fergus Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex on Monday between 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

There will also be drop-in clinics Tuesday at the Drayton Arena between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. and at the Palmerston and District Community Centre between 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
