Three local siblings share $500,000. Lotto Max Maxmillions Prize

A group of three siblings from Stratford and Tavistock won $500,000 in the June 18, 2021 LOTTO MAX draw.

They shared a $1 million MAXMILLIONS prize with another ticket

Donald Robinson of Stratford, Sandra Eby of Tavistock and Sherrie Giddings of Stratford play regularly and like to purchase their tickets all over.

Donald woke up the morning after the draw to check their ticket.

“When I saw Big Winner appear on my phone, I thought it was a mistake. I had to scan it another four times to believe it,” he shared. “I was very emotional – even more so, because it all happened the same day I was getting married!”

Donald called Sandra first, who didn’t believe him initially. Then Sandra called Sherrie and told her to call their brother. “It was an emotional call for me because I haven’t been working through the pandemic. It was an incredible blessing. I am so grateful to have had this experience with my brother and sister,” said Sherrie.

Sherrie plans to use her portion to move closer to her grandchildren. Sandra plans to visit her son and daughter-in-law in British Columbia and Donald will help his kids and invest in his business.

Each sibling will take home $166,666.

The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven on Erie Street in Stratford.
