Bruce Grey Catholic School Board preparing for fall

The Director of Education for The Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board said planning is well underway for the upcoming school year.

Gary O’Donnell expected COVID-19 safety measures will be a part of the equation in September. But he said the hope is that a return to normal programming will occur as the school year progresses.

O'Donnell added a virtual option will be available for students, so families need to confirm their choice.

He said the board is looking at a variety of options for Secondary schools but they are looking for clarity from the Ministry in terms of suggested models.

The board will be reaching out to gather thought and feedback as they continue to plan for the 2021 - 2022 school year.

O'Donnell says a Return to School - “Thought Exchange” - will include the following questions: -Student Thought Exchange: "What are the most important things you want us to consider in our planning efforts so that we return to a successful school year for everyone in 2021-2022?". -Staff Thought Exchange: “What are the most important things you want to share about your school experience this past year and what advice would you give for a successful year in 2021- 2022?".
