Six new COVID-19 cases in Midwestern Ontario Tuesday

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added four new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, two in Saugeen First Nation, and one in Chatsworth, and Owen Sound. There are 175 active cases. 13 residents are hospitalized due to COVID-19. Six of them were transferred to hospitals outside of Grey Bruce.

Meantime, just a small number of appointments are booked for a Covid-19 vaccine clinic tomorrow (Wednesday, July 7) at the Kincardine Davidson Centre from 8:30 am – 6:30 pm. Health officials encourage all who want the vaccine to help fill this clinic by booking appointments.  Also, to increase access, this clinic has a walk-in component.

The Huron Perth Public Health Unit added no new cases of COVID-19 to the list Tuesday. There are 13 active cases, and one resident is hospitalized with the virus.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added five new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, two of them in Wellington County. There are 23 active cases in Wellington. Seven people in the jurisdiction are in hospital with the virus.
