COVID-19 case count continues to rise in Grey, Bruce

Active COVID-19 cases in Grey and Bruce are on the verge of surpassing the 200 mark.

23 new cases have been confirmed Friday bringing the active case count to 199.

Seven of Friday's confirmed cases are in Saugeen Shores, five in Owen Sound, three in Arran-Elderslie and two each in Meaford and Huron-Kinloss. There are also confirmed cases in Saugeen First Nation, Chatsworth, Georgian Bluffs, and Hanover.

There are more drop in vaccine clinics Saturday.

One is at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and another at the P and H Centre in Hanover tomorrow between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Health unit officials say those interested should be prepared to wait in line, dress for weather, maintain physical distancing and wear a mask. They also suggest to bring your own water and understand that the vaccine supply may be limited.

In Huron and Perth, the active case count sits at 10 as of Friday and in Wellington County there are 19 active cases.
