COVID-19 cases declining in Midwestern Ontario

Grey Bruce Health Unit reports four new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the past 24 hours, two in Southgate, and one each in Owen Sound and Kinloss. There are 28 active cases, and 19 of those are variants of concern. Four residents with the virus are hospitalized in Grey Bruce, plus six non=residents have been transferred to local hospitals.

Huron Perth Public Health and Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health each reported just two new cases Wednesday. There were no new cases in Wellington County where there are 49 active cases.  There are 37 active cases in Huron Perth, 20 of them variants of concern. One person is in hospital in Huron Perth with the virus.
