150 km fundraising run ends in Lake Huron

A jump into Lake Huron late Wednesday afternoon put a punctuation mark on a five day, 150 km run along the Guelph to Goderich Rail Trail for track athlete and Guelph native Haley Davis in support of The Terry Fox Foundation and The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.

She also raised over $23,000.

Davis was diagnosed with a rare type of brain tumor in the summer of 2019. And after two surgeries she made here way back to the track and put together the fundraiser. Her run from Guelph to Goderich started on May 1.

In 2020, the she signed with the University of Guelph's track and cross country team and is an avid runner and her fundraiser was called Strides and Smiles.
