COVID-19 cases creep up again in Midwestern Ontario

Huron Perth Public Health added ten new cases of COVID-19 to the confirmed list Tuesday, two each in Stratford and Howick, and  one each in St. Marys, North Perth, Morris Turnberry, Bluewater, Perth East and Perth South.  That brings the number of active cases to 32. There are active 14 variants and 74 people are self isolating. Two people are hospitalized. Three healthcare workers have active cases.   An outbreak continues at Fordwich Village Long Term Care Home.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added six new cases Wednesday, in Arran-Elderslie, Brockton, Grey Highlands, Hanover, Saugeen Shores, and Southgate.  There are 54 active cases, and 37 of them are variants of concern. Two people are hospitalized. 106 people are self-isolating.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health officials report there are now 19 people in hospital with the virus, and another 15 in the ICU. There are 27 new cases, eight of them in Wellington County. There are 95 active cases in Wellington.
