COVID-19 cases falling in Midwestern Ontario today

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added just one new case of COVID-19 to the confirmed list Tuesday, in Brockton. There are 51 active cases, including 36 active variants of concern. Four residents are hospitalized with the virus. And nine COVID-19 patients have been transferred to Grey Bruce Intensive Units from outside of the region. In all, five residents have succumbed to the virus.

Huron Perth Public Health reported no new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday. There are 25 active cases including 17 variants.  Two people are hospitalized.  Throughout the pandemic, there have been a total of 1,584 confirmed cases, and 53 fatalities in Huron Perth.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported Tuesday that twelve people are hospitalized with COVID-19, and another 14 people are in the ICU.  That public health department added twelve new cases Tuesday, two of them in Wellington County. There are 102 active cases in Wellington, where the virus has played a part in 36 fatalities.  There have been a total of 1,443 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Wellington.
