Huron Kinloss burn ban lifted

Fire Chief Chris Cleave has lifted the Total Burn Ban For the entire Township of Huron-Kinloss, effective immediately.

This also applies to the response area within the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh serviced by the Lucknow & District Fire Department.

All open-air burns, beach fires and recreational fires in accordance with the Township of Huron-Kinloss By-Laws are permitted; and all annual, special exemption and beach fire permits are re-instated.

Huron Kinloss asks that you obtain an open-air fire permit and report your fire to their Open-Air Burning Hotline at 1-800-511-9911 prior to igniting an open air fire. This will reduce any unnecessary response by their Fire Departments.

Please be aware the Provincial Stay at Home order is in effect which states “You are not allowed to gather indoors or outdoors with anyone you do not live with, except one other person from outside of the household that lives alone.”
