Owen Sound man fined $880 after police investigate complaint

An Owen Sound man was fined under the province’s Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act after police responded to a complaint about a possible party.

Police went to a home in the east end of the city just before 9 p.m. Wednesday.

A 25-year old man was charged and issued an $880 fine.

The stay at home order came into effect April 8 and requires everyone to remain at home except for essential purposes, which does not include social gatherings.
