Grey Bruce Health Unit looks into probable COVID-19 cases associated with four schools

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is working to address probable cases of COVID-19 associated with four schools.

The probable cases are associated with Kincardine District Secondary, St. Anthony's School in Kincardine, Edge Hill Country in West Grey and Harvest Canadian Reformed School in Georgian Bluffs.

In each case, the health unit says in its assessment, transmission did not take place in the school environment.

There is one bus route involved with the St. Anthony's assessment.

On Sunday, the health unit highlighted they are tracking 300 high risk contacts, which officials say is a high number that is taking a tremendous effort to manage.

There are currently 62 active cases of COVID-19 in Grey and Bruce, 16 of them variants of concern.

The latest confirmed cases include three in Owen Sound and one each in Chatsworth, Georgian Bluffs, Huron-Kinloss, Kincardine and Southgate.
