4 sent to hospital following car crash in Hanover

Hanover Police Service responded to the report of a single motor vehicle crash on 14th Street west of 13th Avenue, in the Town of Hanover.

The incident happened at about 2:00am Saturday.

Police, fire and ambulance arrived on scene to find a blue Dodge Neon lying on its driver’s side against a fence. Police say the car had been eastbound on 14th Street when it lost control, left the roadway, and rolled several of times ejecting two of its four occupants.

The driver, a 21-year-old Hanover man, and three male passengers raging in age from 19 to 21 years of age from Chesley and Elmwood, all sustained injuries and were transported by ambulance to the Hanover District Hospital. Two of the passengers have since been transferred to a London hospital, both in serious condition.

Police say speed is a “definite factor” in this crash. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
