Wednesday's COVID-19 numbers low in Midwestern Ontario

Huron Perth Public Health reported just one new case of COVID-19 was confirmed in the past 24 hours, in South Huron. The number of active cases stands at 12, and no one is in hospital with the virus. 120 people are in isolation. 12-thousand 806 vaccine doses have been administered.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added two new cases of COVID-19 in past 24 hours, in The Blue Mountains and Brockton.  There are now 27 cases of Variants of Concern in the region, 14 of them active. In all there are 42 active cases.  Four people are hospitalized with the virus.

Public health officials in Wellington County confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, and four newly resolved cases. There are 22 active cases in Wellington, where the pandemic has taken 35 lives. Across the Wellington, Dufferin, Guelph Public Health region there were 17 new cases added, and 15 newly resolved cases.
