Brockton survey online

The Municipality of Brockton is creating a new action plan that will solidify the town’s goals for the next five years and ensure projects are in line with the community’s priorities.

CAO Sonya Watson explains that this survey is a key part of the Brockton 2025 Action Plan process, "a great deal of public participation over the years has made it clear what we in Brockton want for our future: we want vibrant cultural activities and community organizations; plentiful employment and prosperous businesses and farms; good planning and wise treatment of our natural environment; and we want a safe, active and healthy quality of life. Now the challenge for the Municipality is to be sure we’re taking the most effective steps to get where we all want to go, and focusing our resources to get us there.”

The survey lists specific types of municipal infrastructure ranging from roads and streets to the Business Park, and many municipal services ranging from recycling to property standards, and asks which services are most important to residents.

The survey also asks for input on a number of specific issues facing Brockton, including housing, growth, and community safety.

The deadline for responses, which are anonymous, is April 14th, 2021. Responses will be summarized and presented to Council as a key ingredient to Council’s 2025 Action Plan.

The survey, open to all Brockton residents, has been released and is available online at bit.ly/brocktonsurvey.
