New COVID-19 cases low in Midwestern Ontario

Local public health units reported encouraging COVID-19 numbers Tuesday.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added one new case of COVID-19 Tuesday, in Owen Sound. There are now ten variants reported, and six are active. In all, there are 15 active cases, and 73 people are self isolated. One person is in hospital.

Just one new case of COVID-19 was added by Huron Perth Public Health Tuesday, in Stratford. Officials reported 21 active cases. Two people are in hospital, and 146 people are self isolating.

Public health officials in Wellington County reported no newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 today, and two newly resolved cases. There are 17 active cases. Currently there are three active cases in Minto, one in Mapleton, and four in Wellington North.

Across Wellington, Dufferin Guelph, there are seven people in hospital, and two in the ICU. Five new COVID-19 cases were confirmed today, and there are 107 active cases. The outbreak continues at Royal Terrace Long Term Care in Palmerston.
