Perth OPP lay several domestic assault charges in separate incidents

OPP say a number of people have been charged following domestic related incidents lately in Perth County.

In February, 4 people were placed under arrest after Perth County OPP investigated these incidents, and police want victims to know they aren’t alone.

A 22 year old North Perth resident is facing 5 total charges including assault of a spouse and domestic mischief after OPP investigated a report of assaults that had occurred over the past few years.

A 32-year-old resident of West Perth is facing three charges including assault of a spouse and assault causing bodily harm, after OPP responded to a domestic related disturbance between two people at a residence on St. Andrew Street, Mitchell.

OPP were also called to a residence on Tremaine Avenue South, in Listowel, for an unwanted person, and charged a 36-year-old North Perth resident with harassment.

And another historic incident was reported to Perth County OPP, and the investigation revealed that an assault had occurred, and property was damaged by the suspect. As a result, a 38-year-old Howick Township resident has been arrested and charged with mischief and assault of a spouse.

In all cases, the accused parties were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
