Midwestern Ontario COVID-19 numbers encouraging

There were no new cases of COVID-19 confirmed Tuesday by the Grey Bruce Health Unit. There are twelve active cases and one person is in hospital with COVID-19. 689 cases have been resolved, and two people have died due to the virus during the pandemic.  There is an outbreak at Bruce Lea Haven Long Term Care Home in Walkerton.

Huron Perth Public Health added five new cases of COVID-19 to the confirmed list Tuesday. There are 22 active cases and no hospitalizations. Outbreaks continue at Seaforth Manor Retirement Home, Stratford Jail, and one workplace.  In all, there are seven active cases in Stratford, four in Perth South, three in Perth East, and two in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.  There is one case in Howick, Huron East, North Huron, South Huron, North Perth and West Perth.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added five new confirmed cases of COVID-19, three of them in Wellington.  There are 21 active cases, and one hospitalization in Wellington. The death toll stands at 33.  Outbreaks continue at Wellington Terrace in Fergus, Royal Terrace in Palmerston, and in Arthur, at Caressant Care Long Term Care. There are also two outbreaks in Guelph, and five workplace outbreaks across the region.  There is one active case in Mapleton and one in Wellington North.

There were no new fatalities reported across midwestern Ontario.
