Public health regions moving to different COVID levels

Two local public health regions will see looser COVID-19 restrictions on Monday.

Huron and Perth is moving to Yellow - Protect while Grey and Bruce will slide into the Green - Prevent category.

Wellington County, which is connected with Guelph and Dufferin County under Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, will stay in the Red - Control group.

Under Yellow - Protect there are still limitations.

Organized events are still limited, with 10 people indoors or 25 people outdoors for social gatherings.

Organized public events can have 50 people indoors or 100 people outdoors.

In restaurants, there is a limit of six people seated together at a table and restrictions on when alcohol can be served.

Capacity at sports and recreation facilities are up to 50 people indoors.

And for retail, face coverings are needed and stores need passive screening.

Under Green - Prevent, most of the maximum people allowed in certain scenarios remain the same, but in some cases there is no COVID added restrictions as to when alcohol can be served.
