An outbreak of COVID-19 at the St. Marys Memorial Hospital has been declared over by Huron Perth Public Health.

The outbreak had been declared on the Inpatient Unit on February 2, 2021 after five cases of the virus were identified.

As there have been no further cases, the Inpatient Unit has been reopened to admissions and transfers.

“While this outbreak is over, we can’t stress enough the importance of continuing to follow public health measures, especially with the risk of new variants.,” added Williams.
