A Brockton man is facing charges following a dispute at an apartment building in Hanover.
Hanover Police say they responded to a report of an assault in the 300 Block of 10th Street in Hanover last Monday.
Police say the investigation determined that a 39-year-old from West Grey was violently assaulted with weapons, punched and threatened with further violence if he refused to turn over a sum of money.
On Thursday, 34-year-old Joey Durocher was arrested and held for a bail hearing. He faces several charges, including two counts of assault with a weapon, extortion and uttering threats. The charges have not yet been proven in court.
