Huron County Warden urges Super Bowl fans to buy local

This a big weekend for football fans as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's Super Bowl.

It's also a time when football fans would normally get together at someone's house to watch the game.

Health care providers are strongly urging fans to resist that temptation and watch the game in their own homes.

Huron County Warden, Glen McNeil has the same message and he's also encouraging people to take advantage of the opportunity to help local restaurants.

"I would suggest that our local businesses in their respective communities have been very resourceful in take-out Super Bowl specials for this weekend and I would really like to encourage everyone to support our local businesses for take-out for the Super Bowl."

McNeil says it would be a great way to show support for local restaurants that are really struggling through this pandemic and have been very resourceful in creating their Super Bowl specials.

"I believe a lot of businesses are actually putting it on social media, of the special menus, Super Bowl treats, that they have available for this weekend and our businesses are looking for support and this is a great opportunity for the residents to do that."
