COVID-19 cases numbers are still rising, but more slowly

The province counted 50 more deaths linked to COVID-19 yesterday and recorded 24-hundred-17 new cases of the virus.

Locally, the Grey-Bruce Health Unit recorded two cases and currently tracking 25 active cases.

In Huron and Perth, public health is expected to provide more updates today. There are currently outbreaks at Exeter Villa and Caressant Care in Listowel in the long-term care and retirement homes. There is also an outbreak at Seaforth Manor and two staff at Fordwich Village have tested positive and it is currenlty under outbreak protocol. And the outbreak at the Stratford Hospital surgical unit is still active.

According the the Huron Perth Public Health website, the active COVID-19 case count is at 140.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health will update its COVID-19 status report at 10:30 this morning but were tracking 94 active cases in Wellington County.

Outbreaks protocols continue at Wellington Terrace Long-Term Care Home near Fergus and Caressant Care retirement and long-term care in Arthur as well as the retirement home and 2nd floor of the long-term care home in Harriston.
