New COVID-19 cases confirmed in Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added 14 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday. South Bruce had five new cases,  Brockton had three, Kincardine added two, Southgate added two, and there was one in West Grey and Owen Sound. There are 63 active cases and one probable case. 153 high risk contacts are in self isolation. Three people with COVID-19 are in hospital. There are no outbreaks.

Huron Perth Public Health logged another 12 cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, seven of them in North Perth. There are eight long term care outbreaks, and two retirement home outbreaks. The region has 100 active cases and six people are in hospital. 311 high risk contacts are in self isolation.

There were 36 new cases reported by public health in Wellington Dufferin Guelph, bringing the active caseload to 407, with six people in Hospital. 13 of the new cases were in Wellington County, for a total of 85 active cases. and three hospitalizations.  The Caressant Care Retirement and Long Term Care Homes in both Arthur and Harriston are battling outbreaks, along with Strathcona Long Term Care in Mount Forest.
