Canada's Public Alert System will be tested today.
The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission will conduct a test of its National Public Alerting System in Ontario at approximately 12:55 p.m. Eastern Time.
The alerts will come through radio, certain televisions, as well as compatible mobile devices.
The "Alert Ready" system is designed to deliver critical and potentially life-saving alerts to Canadians, including tornadoes, flooding, and AMBER Alerts.
