New COVID-19 cases in Midwestern Ontario Tuesday

On Tuesday, The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit reported one new case of COVID-19 and one preliminary positive case that is pending confirmation. There are twelve active cases in Grey Bruce, with the lastest case located in Hanover.

Public health officials in Wellington County reported one new case Tuesday, bringing the number of active cases to 22. In all, Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported eight new cases Tuesday, for a total of 89 active cases across the jurisdiction.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has also declared an outbreak at the Caressant Care nursing and retirement home in Fergus as one staff member tested positive.

The Huron Perth Health Unit reported three new cases Tuesday. The new cases are located in South Huron, Stratford and St. Marys.

Outbreaks continue at Cedarcroft Retirement in Stratford, Knollcrest long term care in Perth East, and Mitchell Nursing home.
