A report to Bruce County Council says preparations to respond to the “second wave” of COVID-19 continue at Brucelea Haven in Walkerton and Gateway Haven in Wiarton.
Visiting programs continue, including outdoor visiting, and essential caregivers and visitors are welcomed and supported to attend the homes. Weekly virtual Town Hall meetings have continued with family members
Council was told the county's long term care homes are in full compliance with the Long Term Care Homes Act and all associated regulations.
Published highlights from the recent council meeting state that the homes continue to conduct ongoing audits and Primacare consultants continue to monitor the status of the homes.
There are currently no COVID1-19 outbreaks at seniors facilities in Grey and Bruce counties.
