Saugeen Valley Conservation making difficult decisions
The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority is taking new measures to ensure they can support growth in the watershed while protecting life, the environment, and property.
In a letter to Kincardine Council, the SVCA reported that times are challenging, forcing some difficult decisions to be made.
Chair Dan Gieruszak reported that they are exploring their potential so they can focus on meeting the needs of stakeholders.
He says several measure are being implemented to ensure effective communication, while improving service delivery.
He says they are working to meet the precisely defined mandate given to the Authority by the Province.
The Authority plans to work with stakeholders and communities in the coming months to establish a new strategic plan.
