UPDATE: Serious crash in South Huron sends two to hospital

Provincial police are investigating a serious collision in South Huron that sent two people on a motorcycle to the hospital.

Huron County OPP said the collision on Airport Line between Kirkton Road and Huron Street happened on Saturday afternoon around 2:50 p.m. and involved multiple vehicles.

A motorcycle driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries while a motorcycle passenger suffered minor injuries.

Provincial police said on Saturday that the initial investigation showed that the collision occurred when a motorcycle and a car tried to pass a tractor that was pulling grain bins.

However, OPP said on Sunday that it was actually a white pickup truck that was pulling the grain bins and there may have been several vehicles between the motorcycle and the pickup truck at the time of the collision.

Provincial police initially said they were looking to speak with the driver of the car.

However, police are now looking to identify and speak with anyone who was travelling in the group of vehicles or in the area around the time of the crash. The vehicles involved may have not been damaged.

The collision remains under investigation.

Anyone with information in regard to the collision is asked to call Huron County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
