Four charged in connection with armed home invasion

Four people, including three teenagers, have been charged in connection with a violent armed home invasion in Georgian Bluffs.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Thursday shortly before 4:08 a.m., four individuals went to an apartment on Highway 6 and 21, pulled out a firearm, and assaulted the occupants of the home.

The four left before police arrived but at around 2:40 p.m., four suspects were arrested at a business at Highway 21 on Saugeen First Nation. During the arrest, police seized a loaded handgun, drug paraphernalia, along with $20,000 worth of purple fentanyl and methamphetamine.

As a result, a 17-year-old from Kitchener is charged with:

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
  • Carrying a concealed weapon.
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon.
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition while prohibited.
  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.
Peter Messiha, 21, of Mississauga is charged with:
  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of Schedule II substance.
A second 17-year-old from Kitchener is charged with:
  • Carrying a concealed weapon.
  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possessing cannabis under the age of 19.
Mohamed Abdalla, 19, of Kitchener is charged with:
  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.
All four were held for a bail hearing on Friday.
