Grey Bruce Health Services is offering appointments for COVID-19 tests this weekend, to address the high volume of people waiting for an appointment.
The Owen Sound location will be open Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
You can book an appointment through their website, or by calling the COVID-19 Booking Line at 519-367-1466. If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so online, or by calling the booking number to free up that appointment for others waiting to be tested. Walk-ins are not being accepted.
When coming for an appointment, come directly to the assessment centre. Do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment to help reduce congestion in the parking area, and bring your own mask.
Tests take approximately five minutes, and results take about four days to be returned.
Testing is recommended for those who are symptomatic, and anyone who has been instructed by Public Health to get a test.
