A Meaford man is facing charges after being investigated by the Owen Sound Police Service.
The man was initially arrested in early August and was charged at that time with Distributing Intimate Images Without Consent. Police continued to investigate, and obtained a warrant to search the accused’s cell phone.
Police then found evidence of the man’s involvement in luring an underage female into producing and sending him sexually explicit videos. The described content, which constitutes child pornography under the Criminal Code, was found stored on the man’s phone.
The man was re-arrested on September 29th, and now faces criminal charges including Luring a Child, Possession of Child Pornography as well as the original charge of Distributing Intimate Images without Consent.
The accused made a court appearance and has been released from custody with a future court date.
The man’s name will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victims.
