Markdale will be getting a new dental clinic.
Following the provincial government's recent funding announcement to expand access to the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program, the new funding will allow a new clinic to open in the South East Grey Community Health Centre in Markdale.
The province is providing 25 million dollars to support 78 infrastructure projects across the province, including building new dental clinics and renovating existing facilities. The Grey Bruce Health Unit submitted proposals for one-time funding of $320,000 for Owen Sound and $336,900 in Markdale.
The locations of the dental health clinics will be the Grey Bruce Health Unit at 101 17th Street East, Owen Sound and the South East Grey Community Health Centre at 55 Victoria Avenue, Markdale. Upgrades will begin at the end of this year.
