The South Bruce Grey Health Centre says its Kincardine COVID-19 assessment centre, like many other centres across the province, experienced very large volumes of people looking to get tested as it opened Monday morning.

The message on social media noted the large volumes caused a long line of traffic waiting to access the hospital site in Kincardine, backing onto Queen Street and creating some problems.

The SBGHC said it will be taking additional steps in the near future to provide a more coordinated queuing system to prevent traffic backlogs on Queen Street.
