Virtual Information session for Teeswater River Bridge replacement in Paisley

Bruce County will discuss plans to replace the Teeswater River Bridge in paisley at a virtual information centre next week.

Paisley and are residents will learn more about the planning and design vision for the project.

Options for detours, access and noise will also be discussed.

The Class Environmental Assessment of the potential impacts on natural, cultural, social, economic, and built environments will also be presented.

The session runs Tuesday, September 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at www.paisleybridgestudy.ca.

There is also information there about the project.

Construction on the Teeswater River Bridge is scheduled to start in the Spring of 2022, after completion of the Class Environmental Assessment and community engagement.

The Bridge was built in 1935 and features rare cultural characteristics like curved concrete T-beams. However, the 85 year old structure is now experiencing deck deterioration, scaling, concrete spalling and delamination, joint expansion, and sidewalk soffit deterioration.

Bruce County’s Transportation and Environmental Services Department and engineering consultant B.M. Ross and Associates Limited will host the Public Information Centre.

Comments on the project can be submitted to B.M. Ross and Associates, 62 North Street, Goderich, Ontario, N7A 2T4, telephone (Toll Free): 1-888-524-2641 or Email: Kelly Vader, Environmental Planner (kvader@bmross.net)
